WHAT IS THE SHOTGUN REVIEW? The Shotgun-Review.ca is a web publication reviewing contemporary art events, projects and exhibitions in Alberta, Canada. Initiated by Nicole Burisch & Anthea Black, the Alberta edition is a partner project of Shotgun-Review.com in the San Francisco Bay Area, USA. We welcome the view points of artists, curators, and writers as well as those of individuals not directly involved in the visual arts profession. Most reviews are between 200 and 500 words (we don't complain when people go over) and occasionally include images. Typically posts are written in the first person and we encourage participants to record a specific experience rather than a general judgment. Each month we divide and conquer - reviewing as many spaces as possible. We hope someday it might be possible to review every single art show in Alberta.
